Missouri: a regulated utility has eminent domain, with the floors on the easement page. Oklahoma: not until the OCC certificate issues. Kansas: not until the KCC siting permit issues, and east of US-77 it has not.

Do I have to let surveyors on?

Ask a lawyer. An Oklahoma appeals court sided with a utility on survey access in 2024.

Will fighting need work?

A federal appeals court in another region said states cannot deny an RTO-approved line for lack of need. That case does not erase every Missouri, Oklahoma, or Kansas siting question. Route, cost, water, tribal consent, and procedure still move regulators. Kansas proved the route point on May 12, 2026.

What about health?

Use the National Cancer Institute language. Do not invent a finding. Ask for field readings at your house.
